Fine Art in 2009

When it comes to fine art for the year 2009, there are many things to choose from. However, it is important to first understand exactly what fine art really is. For starters, the concept is usually misunderstood as being "quality" art. Matter of fact, this is not the actual case as fine art refers to the purity of the art form. It is possible for just about anything unless it is mass produced to constitute as fine art assuming that the artist who created it does so in a pure and harmonic manner.

Furthermore, fine art is not just classified as the visual arts like paintings and sculptures, but can cover all of the fields of art including the performing arts. While there may be some that disagree with this concept, the point is that none the less, the fine portion of fine art refers to the purity of the particular art form.

Choosing fine art in 2009 though, is referring to the visual arts. Most notably of these are that of sculpting and paintings. Having fine art in your home adds to the home itself, not to mention the potential intrinsic value of the art itself. While not every single piece of art will become worth millions down the road, some are. Back when Michelangelo was painting, the people who had his works did not pay very much for them. However it was after his death that their values started to increase and today some of them are considered to be priceless.
